1. Overview

Cirsium Labs LLC ("Cirsium Labs," "we," "our," or "us") operates DrillShot and related services (the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

DrillShot is designed as a focused training and performance tool. We intentionally collect only the minimum data necessary to provide and improve the product.

DrillShot does not require user accounts, and we do not maintain centralized user profiles tied to personal identity.

2. Information We Collect

a. Information You Provide

  • Drill configurations, training sessions, notes, and performance history
  • Optional preferences such as firearm or training setup
  • Target photos or images you capture or upload for analysis
  • Messages or feedback you send to us

b. Camera and Photo Access

DrillShot may request access to your camera or photo library so you can capture or select target images. We only access these features when you explicitly use them.

c. Automatically Collected Information

DrillShot does not use third-party analytics or crash-reporting tools. To operate the App Store and your subscription, Apple and RevenueCat process limited technical information (such as device type, operating system, and app version) as part of each request. Any crash or performance data comes only from Apple's standard, opt-in iOS diagnostics, which you control in iOS Settings.

d. Subscription and Purchase Information

Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment card or billing information.

We may receive limited subscription-related information (such as entitlement status, renewal, or cancellation events) from our subscription provider to determine access to premium features.

3. AI and Image Processing

Some features use AI-assisted image processing to analyze target photos. When you actively use these features, the target image is sent to our AI provider (OpenAI) to return a result; images are never accessed in the background. Our servers do not retain your images. AI-generated results are training assistance and may not be perfectly accurate.

4. How We Use Information

  • Provide core app functionality and training workflows
  • Enable subscription features and verify access
  • Deliver AI-assisted analysis when requested
  • Improve performance, reliability, and future features
  • Diagnose bugs and respond to support requests

5. Free Trials and Paid Features

DrillShot may offer free and paid features, including optional subscription plans.

Free trials may provide temporary access to premium features. When a trial or subscription ends, access to those features will be restricted unless renewed.

Subscription status is used solely to determine feature availability.

6. Data Storage and Retention

All of your training data — drill configurations, sessions, scores, notes, and saved photos — is stored locally on your device. We do not maintain a server-side database of your activity. Target images submitted for AI analysis are processed in real time and are not stored on our servers; our AI provider may retain them briefly for abuse monitoring under its own policy. You can delete all local data by removing the app from your device.

7. Third-Party Services

We use a small number of trusted third-party services to operate the app:

  • Apple App Store — distribution, payments, and subscriptions
  • RevenueCat — subscription management and entitlement handling
  • OpenAI — AI processing of target images you submit for analysis

We do not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs. These providers process only the limited information necessary to perform their functions, under their own privacy policies.

8. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information.

We only share limited data when necessary to:

  • Provide app functionality and subscription services
  • Operate analytics, support, or AI features
  • Comply with legal obligations
  • Protect the security and integrity of the Services

9. Competitions and Social Features

Future features may include competitions, leaderboards, or shared sessions. If you choose to participate, certain information (such as usernames, scores, or results) may be visible to others.

These features will be optional and designed to be opt-in.

10. Your Choices and Rights

  • Control camera and photo permissions through your device settings
  • Delete app data by removing the app
  • Manage or cancel subscriptions via your Apple account
  • Contact us for questions or data requests

11. Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect information, but no system is completely secure.

12. Children's Privacy

DrillShot is a training tool and does not require an account or collect personal profiles. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Minors should use the app only under the supervision of a parent or guardian and in accordance with applicable laws. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will promptly address it.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Updates will be posted with a revised effective date.
